Sonder, augmented-reality gallery installation title over a dim stairwell Panel board: Sonder, seven six-foot watercolor panels of everyday scenes Panel detail: Sonder panel, illustrated scene that hides a deeper story
SONDER An augmented-reality installation on the stories people carry beneath the surface. The concept: Sonder is the realization that every stranger lives a life as vivid as your own. Seven six-foot watercolor panels show ordinary scenes. Viewed through a phone, augmented reality reveals what's really happening underneath: true stories of abuse and trauma, drawn from lived experience and US medical-journal statistics. Role: Concept, illustration, and photography, in collaboration with Gabriela T. Granado. BFA senior capstone, 2020. Built with Artivive. Research available on request
